Paul offers a confidential consultancy service, including music industry related reports, the development of innovative educational frameworks (including distance learning, work based learning and Accreditation for Prior Learning) and forensic musicology. Regarding the latter, having been included on the Music Publisher’s Association’s Register of Expert Witness Musicologists for several years, his services include lyric, harmonic and melodic analysis, in addition to plagiarism detection and unlicensed sampling. This work is informed by his published work as a musicologist, which incorporates the latest analytical techniques (See above CV on the ‘About’ page). He also undertakes expert witness court visitations if required. Recent activity includes work for Warner Chappell and Universal Music on copyright infringement cases, including a major West End Show and a number of international recording artist recordings). His recent music industry and educational work includes completed reports for The Higher Education Academy (Dancing with Interdisciplinary and Playing Wales) , The Welsh Assembly, The Beacons for Public Engagement, EDEXEL, WJEC, The European Social fund, The Welsh Music Foundation and Pearson Education.
